Challenges of Public Defender’s Office to get ressignify public places

The purpose of this paper is focus on the importance of urban planning to reduce social inequality as long as the process focus in a fair and equal public place distribution. Apart from existing housing programs what is being point are different ways to get democratization of public space, like to occupy empty public place and promote land regularization, because normally this building are inserted in a environment with a great potential of social inclusion, ensuring the social function of property. In this way Public Defender’s Office has the relevant function, because one of institutional purpose is to give voice for the excluded people, acting to reduce social and regional inequality and the office does it when demand the realization of public politics in the area of housing and when take part in a land regularization.
